We can help you to explore ways of reaching the Muslims that live on your doorstep. Though many live in established communities, others have huge practical needs that our churches can begin to meet, such as English language courses, legal advice, form-filling, after-school homework clubs and so on.
Have you ever visited a Muslim country? Why not consider being part of one of our short-term teams by visiting a country within Central Asia and experience it in a totally different way – work with local believers in a project, prayer walk, get first-hand experience of the culture by meeting local people, and most of all get God’s heart for a nation and people.
Our primary aim is always planting churches, however in many of the Central Asian countries where we work, there is also a need for professional skills such as medics, teachers, therapists, community health specialists – the list is endless. There are many opportunities to use these skills within a church-planting context. If you sense God’s leading to work long-term in a Muslim nation, we can help you to work out your calling, and we offer training and orientation for those going overseas both short and long-term.
“Open the eyes of my heart”
It is a year since I had seen the children in the south and Mehman’s story is simply amazing. He could see as a young child and knew how to read and write, but unfortunately went on to develop cataracts at about 8 years of age. He underwent very satisfactory surgery in a local hospital, but had never received glasses or an intra-ocular lens. We operated on both eyes just before he graduated from blind school. He now has regained reading vision without the need for spectacles; his distance vision means he could legally drive a car and has enrolled at a technical college, where he is studying. May the eyes of his heart also be opened to see the beauty of the Lord Jesus!
